ProductPress relies on your choice of either Gumroad or Paddle to store your product offerings and operate your checkout.
Before you can sell an item, as either a one-time item or a recurring membership, you'll need to add it to your Paddle account.
ADD THE PRODUCT TO YOUR PADDLE ACCOUNT
ONE TIME PURCHASE:

Set the Fulfillment Method to "Download", and provide the homepage URL of your WordPress site as the Download URL.
We also recommend using a generic "Thank You" page on your WordPress site, that isn't protected by ProductPress, with general information for customers that tells them the following:
- Their account creation link will be sent to them by email shortly
- A link to the login page on your site
- Recommend that they bookmark your page
- Your contact email for any support enquiries

ACTIVATE THE PRODUCT IN PRODUCTPRESS
After you've added the product in Paddle, you need to activate it in ProductPress on your site, so that a new WordPress user account is added for each customer, and their info is sent to them.
Set the product to "Active", and then click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
CREATING A PURCHASE LINK
In your Paddle account, navigate to "Catalog > Products" for one-time purchase items or "Catalog > Subscription Plans" for recurring subscription plans.
Click the button with the 3 dots at the end of the row, and choose "Checkout Link"
A new pop-up will appear with your Paddle purchase link:
You can then copy/paste the web address provided and link to that page wherever you want to create a buy button on your site.
Customers will be taken directly to the Paddle checkout to complete their purchase via Credit Card or PayPal.
