Setting up with Gumroad Print

  • 0

After completing the steps in the installing the plugin article, the next step is to connect the plugin with Gumroad.

1. COPYING YOUR REDIRECT URI

Make sure that Gumroad is selected as your chosen Merchant of Record, and then copy the URL that appears next to the heading "Your redirect URI:" to your clipboard.

2. LOGIN TO GUMROAD

Login to your Gumroad membership area, and navigate to Settings > Advanced.

3. CREATE THE GUMROAD APPLICATION

At the bottom of the "developer" menu, you'll find the application creation form. Here's what you need to fill out:

• Application name is at your own discretion. You are the only person who will see it.
• Redirect URI is the important field. Paste in the Redirect URI you copied from the Settings > ProductPress page in WordPress.

Once you click on Create application, you'll be taken to the application page.

Take note of the fields Application ID and Application Secret - either leave this open in a second tab, or copy/paste them to somewhere that you'll be able to access them from, such as Notepad, a Word Document, etc.

4. CONNECT WORDPRESS TO GUMROAD

Load the ProductPress settings page on your WordPress site from before (Settings > ProductPress)

Copy/paste the Application ID and Application Secret provided by Gumroad.

Click on Connect to Gumroad. This will take you to the Gumroad authorization page.

Click on Authorize and you'll be taken back to the ProductPress settings page.

The plugin should be active at this point, and your products should sync from Gumroad every 5 minutes.
